Paid summer internships at the Maryland Archives (Annapolis)

23 Feb

Just received this posting from the Maryland State Archives. These internships are great opportunities for anyone considering careers in academia, librarianship, and museums. Of special note are projects on women’s history and Revolutionary War history (the Maryland 400 project).

Plus, they are paid internships!

If interested in these positions, contact Emily Oland Squires below. Contact Prof. Cole if you would like to discuss these careers in general, or if you would like to do a summer internship for credit.

The Maryland State Archives is currently accepting applications to its paid summer internship program.  The deadline for student application is Thursday, March 31st.

Please share these opportunities with your students and feel free to circulate on your listservs/newsletters, etc.

For full details and application information, please see:

There are many different positions this year including openings in the following departments:
Appraisal and Description
Artistic Property
Imaging Services
Information Technology
Research – The Maryland 400
Research – Women’s Hall of Fame
Special Collections
Please click on the the link above for specifics on each of these internships openings.  I would be happy to answer any questions.
Thank you!

Do you think they would consider me? My secret fantasy career is art conservation. 😏
